About Oscar's on the Yarra

A 1920s Guesthouse

As the story goes, this grand old building began as a little farm house in 1890 and was extended to become a guesthouse in the 1920’s. The property has had many names and been witness to many stories over the years but as it stands now, Oscar’s on the Yarra is set on 12 green rolling acres, right on the bank of the Yarra.
Our rooms

Our Rooms

The rooms all feature dreamlike beds, perfect pillows, crisp white linen and Warbotanical amenities. Each room has a small bar fridge and tv, bedside tables and lamps, local artwork, kettle and tea and coffee. Most rooms have french doors that open onto a balcony from which you can wander on the lawn, down to the river’s edge, some rooms share their balcony with the neighbouring room.

In winter and on those crisp evenings, the fires in the lounges will be roaring and you’ll be able to mingle and meet other guests, just as was intended by the St Andrew’s Guesthouse circa 1926.

Testimonials

To us, health is about so much more than simply not being sick. It’s about getting a balance between physical, mental, emotional, cultural and spiritual health. Health and healing are interwoven, which means that one can’t be separated from the other.
